Stats, points and speed
The 65,535 stat cap, the points cap, how agility turns into attack speed, and the advanced stats tab.
On this page
The stat cap#
Each base stat (strength, agility, vitality, energy and a Dark Lord's command) goes up to 65,535. The + buttons in the C window and the commands /addstr, /addagi, /addvit, /addene and /addcmd stop at the cap and take only the points they used.
The server also gives no more free points than your stats can still take. For a Dark Knight starting from 28, 20, 25 and 10, that is 262,057 points in all, so it matters only after about 175 resets.
Attack and magic speed#
There is no speed cap: only the stat cap limits how fast a character attacks. Speed grows with agility:
| Class | Attack speed | Magic speed | At 65,535 agility |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dark Knight | 1 per 15 agility | 1 per 20 agility | about 4,400 / 3,300 |
| Dark Wizard | 1 per 20 agility | 1 per 10 agility | about 3,300 / 6,600 |
| Fairy Elf | 1 per 50 agility | 1 per 50 agility | about 1,300 |
| Magic Gladiator | 1 per 15 agility | 1 per 20 agility | about 4,400 / 3,300 |
| Dark Lord | 1 per 15 agility | 1 per 15 agility | about 4,400 |
Items with the excellent option "attack speed +7", gloves and some sets add to it.
Our client swings at the same rate whatever your frame rate, and the server takes every swing: we measured every class landing every hit up to speed 1,000 and plain attacks up to about 6,500. Two old client quirks are gone: the slowdown between speeds 509 and 750, and the elf's Triple Shot losing its arrows at 508 to 569 (the elf now uses the 507 animation there).
Advanced stats#
Press C and the fourth button at the bottom of the character window. Instead of your stats it shows two boxes:
- Attack: critical damage rate and damage, excellent damage rate and damage, double damage rate, ignore defense rate, ignore SD rate, SD decrease.
- Defense: damage decrease, damage reflect, full reflect rate, full HP and mana recovery rates, SD absorb.
Values above 0 are blue. They come from your gear, options, sets and wings, so the tab is the quickest way to see what a new item really changed. The tab also shows your Combat Power, which opens the Tier Maps. Press the button again for your stats.
