Resets and experience
How to reset at level 400, what a reset gives, and how the experience rate falls with resets.
How to reset#
- Reach level 400 and carry 100,000,000 zen.
- Type
/reset, or click Leo the Helper in Lorencia; he asks you to click again within 15 seconds to confirm. - You stay in the game: your character is now level 10, in its home town's safe zone, with its stats back where the class starts and a new pile of free points. Everyone around sees the level-up flare.
Your items, zen (minus the price), skills, class and quests all stay. Learned skills keep working at level 10. /resetinfo shows what the next reset needs.
Points after a reset#
A reset replaces your free points with 500 times the number of resets you have made, and the levels from 10 to 400 add the usual points per level on top (see Classes).
For example, a Blade Knight with Marlon's quest (6 points per level) gets 390 × 6 = 2,340 more on the way back to 400:
| Reset | Points right after it | Points back at level 400 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 500 | 2,840 |
| 5 | 2,500 | 4,840 |
| 10 | 5,000 | 7,340 |
| 20 | 10,000 | 12,340 |
| 40 | 20,000 | 22,340 |
Earlier in the test a reset gave 1,500 per reset. A character gets the new number at its next reset: see Test period.
No stat goes above 65,535, and the server gives no more free points than your stats can still take: see Stats, points and speed.
Experience rate#
The rate is per character and falls as it resets more:
| Resets made | Experience |
|---|---|
| 0 to 10 | x500 |
| 11 to 20 | x400 |
| 21 to 30 | x300 |
| 31 to 50 | x250 |
| 51 and more | x150 |
There is no Happy Hour: the rates are high enough. Type /rate to see your rate and when it changes next.
A kill never gives more than one level: the experience past the next level is lost. Measured on the server, a reset (level 10 to 400) takes about one to two hours of active play at x500.
Resetting your stats#
/resetstats gives back every point you spent, so you can build the character again. It costs 1,000,000 zen, works at any level in a safe zone, and you stay where you are. Your level and resets stay.
