The Endless Tower has no top. Your party goes into its own copy of the Doppelganger map and fights wave after wave, each one stronger than the last, with a boss on every 10th wave. Nobody wins it: the 30 minutes run out. What counts is how high you got: your height.

Going in#

Talk to Lugard in Lorencia, next to Baz the Vault Keeper at the bottom of the town on the mini map, or in Devias town, next to Jerint. His window shows the price, your party with each member's runs left, zen and best height, the time until the runs come back, and tabs: the bosses' rewards, the rewards by height, the top 10 of the ranking and his shop (see "Tower points and Lugard's shop").

The party leader presses Enter. The party goes in when:

  • it has 3 to 5 members;
  • the leader stands by Lugard and every member within 12 steps of the leader, alive, not in an event, a trade or another run;
  • every member has a run left today and 5,000,000 zen.

Then each member pays 5,000,000 zen and spends one of their own runs. If the run can't start after all, the zen and the runs go back. While the party can't go in, Enter is dimmed and says why.

Every character has 2 runs a day; they come back at 00:00 UTC. The event timer (O) and /events show how many you have left. Nothing else is checked: no level, resets or Combat Power, no ticket, and your stats stay as they are.

How a run goes#

  • 15 seconds to get ready, then 30 minutes on the clock. The event timer shows "Tower · Wave N", the time left and the monsters left.
  • A wave is 20 monsters of the Doppelganger map, 2 more for every member alive beyond the first, 30 at most. They appear around you and go straight for the nearest player. One left far behind or stuck behind a wall is brought back next to you.
  • Every member alive beyond the first gives every monster, the boss too, 35 % more health. So each player has about the same work in a party of 3, 4 or 5.
  • 5 seconds between waves.
  • Some waves bring a golden monster (see below), and from wave 15 some monsters poison, freeze or stun with their hits (see "Monsters that poison, freeze and stun").
  • A fast clear skips waves. A wave cleared in under 20 seconds skips up to 9 waves: the faster, the more. A skip never passes a boss wave. A strong party skips 20 waves and more at the start.
  • The monsters drop nothing: the rewards below are the tower's loot. Kills give the experience of a monster of the wave's level.

Wave 1 is made for a fresh level 400 character. Waves 25, 35, 45, 55, 70 and 85 are about as tough as the monsters of Tier Maps tiers 1 to 6, and after 85 the waves keep growing. Our test party of three with Tier 4 gear (22 resets, ancient sets +12, 3rd wings) reached wave 64 when the time ran out, without a death.

The bosses#

Every 10th wave is a boss: a Doppelganger Knight, Wizard, Elf, Magic Gladiator or Dark Lord, in turn, with 10 of the wave's monsters. It has 15 times their health, hits 3 times as hard and fights in phases:

WhenWhat happens
75 % health4 guards join it
50 % health6 guards and a shield: the boss takes no damage while they live, 45 seconds at most
25 % health4 guards, and rage: 30 % more damage and defense
2 minutes after it appearsberserk: 50 % more damage

Kill the guards at 50 % first to break the shield sooner. The wave is cleared when the boss and all its guards are dead.

Monsters that poison, freeze and stun#

From wave 15 some monsters of a normal wave (not a boss wave) hit with an effect. Their hits that land put it on now and then:

From waveEffectMonstersChance a hitWhat it does
15Poison15 %30 %3 % of your current health about every 3 seconds, for 8 seconds; it never kills
25Ice15 %30 %you walk slower for 4 seconds
35Stun10 %10 %you can't move, hit or cast for 1.5 seconds; then no stun for 5 seconds

Poisoning monsters have a green tint, so you can pick them out. Poison and ice resistance work as anywhere: a high one may stop them. An effect that is already on isn't put on again; another hit after it ends starts it anew.

Golden monsters#

Some normal waves (not boss waves) bring a golden monster with the others: a golden message names it when the wave comes. It has 6 times a wave monster's health and counts for clearing the wave. When it falls, every member inside gets its box, into the bag (at your feet if the bag is full):

From waveGolden monsterBox
5Golden GoblinBox of Kundun +1
25Golden TitanBox of Kundun +2
45Golden WheelBox of Kundun +3
65Golden Lizard KingBox of Kundun +4

About one normal wave in 12 has one, so a run of 25 normal waves meets about two.

Dying and the end#

  • A death doesn't take you out. 3 seconds after you fall you stand up again next to a living member of your party (at the entrance if nobody is alive), with full health and mana. For the first 3 seconds nothing can hurt you, poison, freeze or stun you, so you have a moment to step away. For the next 25 seconds you deal half your damage; a blue line says when it's back to full.
  • Stuck in a wall or behind one? Type /stuck once a run and you are put next to another living member.
  • Warping away takes you out: you can't go back into that run. If you lose the connection, log back in while the run lasts and you return to it.
  • The run ends when the 30 minutes are up, or a minute after nobody of the party is inside any more. A minute after the end everyone is back in town.

Your height#

Your height is the highest wave cleared while you were inside, also when you were lying dead for those 3 seconds at the clear. Waves a fast clear skips count for everyone inside at that clear: wave 21 cleared in 2 seconds skips to boss wave 30, so your height is 29 at once. If you leave the run, you keep the height you had.

The whole server sees a golden line when someone reaches wave 40 or higher, and when a party sets a new best of the ranking (from wave 10).

Rewards#

Jewels by height#

When the run ends, every member who is online gets the jewels of their own height, the one row for it, straight into the jewel bank (key K):

HeightJewels
10–192 Bless
20–292 Bless, 1 Soul
30–393 Bless, 2 Soul
40–493 Bless, 3 Soul, 1 Life
50–594 Bless, 3 Soul, 1 Life
60–694 Bless, 3 Soul, 2 Life
70–795 Bless, 4 Soul, 2 Life
80 and up6 Bless, 5 Soul, 3 Life, 1 Creation

One who left the run early gets theirs too, in town. One who is offline when the run ends misses it.

Boxes from the bosses#

Every member inside when a boss falls (also one lying dead for those 3 seconds) gets a Box of Kundun, into the bag (at your feet if the bag is full):

BossBox
10Box of Kundun +1
20Box of Kundun +2
30Box of Kundun +3
40Box of Kundun +4
50Box of Kundun +4, or +5 at 5 %
60Box of Kundun +4, or +5 at 10 %
70 and upBox of Kundun +4, or +5 at 15 %

Tower points and Lugard's shop#

Every run also gives your account tower points: your height plus 10 for every boss killed while you were inside. Height 30 with 3 bosses gives 60 points; a run to wave 60 gives 120. The chat tells you how many you got and have. All characters of an account share the points.

Spend them in the Shop tab of Lugard's window: pick an item and press Buy 1 or Buy 10 (or type /towerbuy bless 10 by Lugard; the other items are soul, life, creation, box3, box4 and order). Each item has a limit per month (UTC), for your whole account:

ItemPointsA month
Jewel of Bless2060
Jewel of Soul3040
Jewel of Life6015
Jewel of Creation2003
Box of Kundun +31008
Box of Kundun +42504
Gaion's Order2004

Jewels go into the jewel bank, the rest into your bag. Make room first: Lugard won't sell what has no room. If something still doesn't fit, it waits and comes by itself within a minute of making room, or at your next login. Points don't run out at the end of a month; the limits start again on the 1st.

Ranking#

The Endless Tower ranking on the website lists the top 100 characters by their best height: this week, last week and this season, with the time it took and who they climbed with. At the same height the shorter time comes first. The weeks are the battle pass' weeks. Lugard's window shows the top 10.

Every character counts on its own, with its best run of the period, whatever party it climbed with. Game masters aren't ranked, and runs a game master starts give no rewards or points.

Prizes#

A couple of minutes after a week or a battle pass season ends, its ranking gets prizes:

RankingPlacePrize
Week130 Bless, 20 Soul, 5 Life and the title Tower Champion for a week
Week2–320 Bless, 10 Soul, 3 Life
Week4–1010 Bless, 5 Soul
Season1–51 Jewel of Fate

One prize per account: only your account's best character takes a place, and your other characters don't take places away from other players. Players with the same height and time share a place, so a party that climbed together shares its prize: three players at 1st all get the 1st prize and the title. The jewels go into the jewel bank, the rest into your bag, at your next login if you are offline. The whole server sees the champion's name. The title Tower Champion shows over your name (after your next login) and in /titles, until a week after the week it was won.

The battle pass has tower tasks too: the dailies "Go into the Endless Tower" and "Reach wave 30", the weekly "Make 6 Endless Tower runs", and season challenges for waves 50 and 70.
